Atthasālinī

Buddhaghosa's commentary on the Dhammasanganippakarana of the Abhidhamma Pitaka.

It was originally written in India (Mhv.xxxvi.225; Sas.31), but was probably revised in Ceylon as it mentions (pp. 97-8) the Samantapāsādikā, also various Atthakathās and the Visuddhi Magga.

Atthasālinī

Commentary on the Dhammasaṇgaṇī, the first book of the Abhidharma Piṭaka of the Pāli Canon. A work of the school of Buddhaghoṣa (according to its introduction it was written at his request), it was originally composed in India but revised in Sri Lanka, as shown by the fact that it bears mention of later works.
