Bhandu
1. Bhandu, Bhanduka. An Anāgāmi upāsaka, son of a sister of Devī, and therefore cousin of Mahinda and Sanghamittā. He accompanied Mahinda to Ceylon, and was ordained, on the day of their arrival, at Ambatthala. He attained arahantship immediately after. Mhv.xiii.16, 18; xiv.29, 31f.; Dpv.xii.26, 39, 62, 63.
