Buddhupatthāka Thera. An arahant. Ninety one kappas ago he blew a conch shell in honour of Vipassī Buddha. Twenty four kappas ago he became king sixteen times under the name of Mahānigghosgā (Ap.i.138f). He is probably identical with Vimala Thera. ThagA.i.122f.
