Chinzei-ha. A school of Jōdo or Pure Land Buddhism founded by Shōkōbo Benchō, a pupil of Hōnen. Its contemporary descendant is the school of Shirahata-ryū which has its headquarters in Chion-in and another important centre in Zōjōji in Tokyo. See also Jōdo Shū.
