盡 [py] jìn [wg] chin [ko] 진 chin [ja] ジン jin ||| (1) To be ruined, perish. Die out, disappear, fail. Become nonexistent (kṣaya, kṣīna). (2) To stop, finish, end (avāsanā, anta). (3) Exhaust. (4) The extinction, or destruction of suffering. Among the Four Noble Truths, the equivalent of 'cessation' mie 滅. Extinction. (nirodha). (5) To pause, rest (uparama) [休]. (6) The conflagration of the universe and its return to nothingness.
