Illisa Jātaka (No. 78)
The story of Illisa. The Jātaka was related in reference to the conversion by Moggallāna of the banker Maccharikosiya of Sakkhara.
Illisa of the past is identified with Macchariyakosiya (J.i.345ff).
The story is given as an example of iddhi by means of which Moggallāna made a little thing increase manyfold. Vsm.ii.403.
