堪能 Skill, mastery, flexibility, adaptability. (karmanya); often seen used together with its near-synonym diaorou 調柔. One is unable to experience this kind of flexibility when bound by the dense afflictions 麁重.

調柔 To be flexible and adaptable; flexibility, adaptability. (karmanyatva, karmanya). Often used together with the synonym kanneng 堪能. One is only able to be flexible when one is free from the binding by coarse defilement 麁重.
