Kassapa Sutta

1. Kassapa Sutta.-Two suttas containing an account of the visit paid to the Buddha by Kassapa, the devaputta (q.v.). S.i.46f

2. Kassapa Sutta.-Contains the thoughts that came to Kassapa Buddha, before his Enlightenment, on the nature of becoming, of cessation, etc. (S.ii.9; cf. D.ii.30f ). The same thoughts are also attributed to the other Buddhas, from Vipassī downwards. For details see Gotama Sutta.
