Kuddāla (Kuddālaka)-pandita

He is mentioned in a list of six famous teachers of the past, who were well known for their pious and holy lives. They had numerous followers and, after death, were born in the Brahma-world (A.iii.371, 373; iv.135).
The Kuddāla-birth was one in which the perfection of paññā was developed (J.i.46).
