Kün Dün (Tibetan, Kun ‘dun). Name by which the Tibetans commonly refer to the Dalai Lama. It means ‘the presence.’ An alternative appellation is Gyelwa Rinpoche (Tibetan, rgyal ba rin po che), meaning ‘precious lord’.
