Maha Wizaya (Vijaya) Paya
A zedi built in 1980 in Rangoon to commemorate the unification of Theravāda Buddhism in the country. The king of Nepal contributed sacred relics for its relic chamber while the Burmese people, through donations, paid for its construction. Also, the Burmese leader Ne Win had it topped with an eleven-level spire (htī), two levels higher than the one of the nearby Shwedagon pagoda. See also Paya
