Mahabodhi Society 

Organization founded in 1891 by Anagārika Dharmapāla (1864-1933) with the immediate aim of restoring Bodhgayā from Hindu to Buddhist control. A branch was established in Britain in 1925 and today there is a network of centres all over the world.
