Mahodara
A Nāga king who reigned over a kingdom by the sea in Ceylon. His younger sister was married to the Nāga on Vaddhamānapabbata and her son was Cūlodara. There was a war between uncle and nephew regarding a gem set throne, and it was to settle this dispute that the Buddha paid his second visit to Ceylon. Mhv.i.45ff.
