Panayamāra or Panayamāraka. A Damila ursurper who slew Bāhiya, another ursurper, and reigned in Anurādhapura for seven years (between 439 and 454) till he, in turn, was slain by his commander in chief Pilayamāra. Mhv.xxxiii.57ff.; Dpv.xix.15; xx.16.
