Pañcacūlaka. The name of Sanankumāra when he was born as a human in a former birth. He practised the jhānas, and having died in that state, was born in the brahma world (MA.ii.584). More probably, Pañcacūlaka here is not a name but a description meaning "while he was yet a lad with his hair tied in five knots."
