Saṃghabhadra
(5th c. ce)
A learned doctor of the Vaibhāṣika school of north India who developed a theory of temporality to explain the school's doctrine that phenomena (dharmas) exist simultaneously in the past, present, and future. He was critical of the views of Vasubandhu, of whom he was a junior contemporary.
