Śīlabhadra (529-645 ce)

A renowned Indian master of the Yogācāra school, originally from Magadha. He was later based at Nālandā where he became the intellectual successor of Dharmapāla and his interpretation of Yogācāra doctrines. Śīlabhadra also taught the great Chinese scholar- monk, Hsüan-tsang from 636 while the latter resided at Nālandā.

戒賢(Treatise master 論師) Śīlabhadra (529-645). An renowned Indian master of the Yogācāra school 瑜伽行派. Originally from Magadha, he taught at Nalanda 那爛陀temple, where he was when Xuanzang 玄奘came to study with him in 636. He was also the teacher of Prabhākaramitra 波頗.
