Sīlakūta. The summit of the Missakapabbata in Ambatthala. It was there that Mahinda alighted on his arrival in Ceylon (Mhv.xiii.20). In the time of Kakusandha Buddha, it was called Devakūta; in the time of Konāgamana, Sumanakūta; in the time of Kassapa, Subhakūta. Dpv.xvii.14.
