楞嚴

It is a Sanskrit word which means 'the ultimate durability of all phenomena' ( 一切事究竟堅固 ). It refers to the fact that all phenomena can be fathomed to the very depths of durability to obtain the basic substance of Samādhi, so śūrangma can be simply regarded as Samādhi.
