十方

The ten directions are east, south, west, north, northeast, southeast, northwest, southwest, in addition to the nadir and the zenith, namely, up and down. Strictly speaking, there is not even one direction in Buddhism, as the earth is 'round', and all things in the worlds are transformed from a single source - the Tathāgata Store.

Ten Directions  十方  the ten directions of space, i.e. the eight points of the compass and the nadir and zenith. There is a Buddha in each direction.
