Timbaruka.-A Paribbājaka who visited the Buddha at Sāvatthi and discussed with him the origin of pleasure and pain. The Buddha explained to him how ignorance was at the root of all conditioned existence.
It is said that Timbaruka became a follower of the Buddha (S.ii.20f).
