Vokiṇṇaka (adj.) [vokiṇṇa+ka] mixed up Miln 300 (kapi- niddā -- pareto vokiṇṇakaŋ jaggati a person with light sleep, so -- called "monkey -- doze," lies confusedly awake, i. e. is half asleep, half awake). Rh. D. not quite to the point: "a man still guards his scattered thoughts".
