The seven atoms composing an anu 阿耨; 阿拏, 阿菟色. Eitel's definition is seven atoms of dust, but the definition is doubtful. This molecule is larger than an "atom" , and according to the Sarvāstivāda it is the smallest visible particle. It is also a division of a yojana.

（術語）依一切有部宗所說，則雖欲界之有形質中最為單簡者，亦稱為八事俱生，隨一不減，能造之地水火風四大與所造之色香味觸四境互相和融，而成一微體。此八事不得更為分離，是為色聚之最極者，故名之為微聚，又曰極微。此極微六方中，心與七微，聚集而始為天眼等之所見。謂之阿菟色Anu，又曰阿拏色，又曰阿耨，譯言微。此非至極微，則不與以極之名，但是眼可見之色之極少者，又分析之色之細極者，則亦曰極微。大日經疏一曰：「梵云阿耨，即是七微合成，於從緣生色最為微小。」唯識了義燈二本曰：「有宗云：以七極微成一拏色。」俱舍光記十二曰：「七極微為一微量，微顯細聚，梵云阿菟，此名微，眼見色中最微細也。」【參見: 極微】
