The mind or thought, past, present, future, cannot be held fast; the past is gone, the future not arrived, the present does not stay.

（名數）金剛經曰：「須菩提，過去心不可得，現在心不可得，未來心不可得。」同略疏曰：「過現未三俱不可得，蓋過去已滅，未來未生，現在不住。」密教於此立遮情表德之二義。其遮情之義，如以上顯教所說。其表德之義，諸法以迷悟不二萬德輪圓之故，一無別相，故云不可得。所謂台家之妙空圓空也。故是中道實相之異名。大日經疏七曰：「一一字門皆言不可得者，為明中道實相義故。」
