prajñāpti. The word q.v. in Buddhist terminology means that everything is merely phenomenal, and consists of derived elements; nothing therefore has real existeme, but all is empty and unreal, 虛妄不實. The three are things, sensations, and names.

三假===﹝出止觀輔行

 

〔一、因成假〕,謂一切諸法,必有所因和合方成。如諸眾生,因於父母生成此身,是名因成。了達此身虛幻不實,是名為假。一切諸法,亦復如是,故名因成假。

 

〔二、相續假〕,謂眾生心識念念相續,前念既滅,後念復生,是名相續。了此相續,本無實體,是名為假;一切諸法相續不斷,亦復如是,故名相續假。

 

〔三、相待假〕,待即對也。謂一切諸法各有待對,如對長說短,對短說長,對無說有,對有說無,是名相待。了此一切對待之法,本無實體,皆是假名,是名為假。又如眾生身中,以生對死,以少對老,亦復如是,故名相待假。
