又作三患。為長阿含經卷十八所舉龍之三種苦惱。即:(一)熱風熱砂等燒皮肉骨髓之苦惱,(二)惡風奪居處飾衣之苦惱,(三)金翅鳥掠奪宮中龍子之苦惱。〔正法眼藏袈裟功德〕

(名數)龍種有三種之熱惱,又云三患。長阿含經十八曰:「佛言:何故名為阿耨達?其義云何?此閻浮提所有龍王盡有三患:一者諸龍皆被熱風熱沙著身燒其皮肉,及燒骨髓,以為苦惱,唯阿耨達龍無有此患。二者舉閻浮所有龍宮,惡風暴起吹其宮內失寶飾衣,龍身自現,以為苦惱,唯阿耨達龍王無如是患。三者舉閻浮提所有龍王各在宮中娛樂時,金翅大鳥入宮搏撮,或始生方便欲取龍食,諸龍怖懼,常懷熱惱,唯阿耨達龍無如是患。若金翅鳥生念欲往即便命終,故名阿耨達。」大樓炭經一曰:「天下餘諸龍以三熱見燒,阿耨達龍王不以三熱見燒。」(三熱即前經之三患)。
