謂九品往生之行者所乘坐之蓮臺。略稱九蓮。行者臨命終之際，聖眾即持蓮臺來迎，行者乘此蓮臺，花合到淨土，到已花開，身相具足。行者之品位由上至下計有九種，從而蓮臺亦有九品之別。觀無量壽經於此有詳盡之敘述，其中，除中品下生於文中省略外，餘由上品上生至下品下生依次為：金剛臺、紫金臺、金蓮華、蓮華臺、七寶蓮華、寶蓮華、蓮華、金蓮華。

九品蓮臺 Nine levels of practitioners reborn in the Pure Land 淨土, occupying nine levels of lotus seats. According to the Guan wuliangshou jing 觀無量壽經 these are categorized as: the best of the best, middling of the best, least of the best; best of the middling, middling of the middling and least of the middling; best of the least, middling of the least and least of the least.
