：
(一)指九種佛體，往生極樂有九品之別，故佛體分為九種。〔觀無量壽佛經〕
(二)日僧覺運之觀心念佛一書謂，阿彌陀之「阿」字表空假中，乃為報身具足三身；「彌」表假空中，即為應身而具三身；「陀」為中空假，即為法身具足三身。「阿彌陀」三字各具三身之義，故一阿彌陀佛即具九體之身。
