五陰 [py] wŭyīn [wg] wu-yin [ko] 오음 oŭm [ja] ゴオン goon ||| The five skandhas, or five aggregates, which Śākyamuni taught as the factors which comprise the composite we call "sentient being." This is an earlier translation of the Sanskrit pañca-skandḥāh, the later translation being 五蘊. See that compound for full explanation. 
 

五蘊的舊譯，陰是障蔽的意思，能陰覆真如法性，起諸煩惱。見五蘊條。

另譯作「五盛陰」，色（包括物質聲音與光線等具窒礙性者）、受（感受）、想（心中的影像）、行（意志力）、識（認識），另譯為「五蘊」

五陰===（術語）新譯曰蘊。舊譯曰陰。淨影之說，如大乘義章八本所謂「積集名陰。陰積多法故。」是與新譯蘊之義同。天台之說，如止觀五上所謂「陰者陰蓋善法。此就因得名。又陰是積集。生死重沓。此就果得名。」是陰有蔭覆與陰積之二義。【參見: 蘊】。色，受，想，行，識，五法之名義，新舊皆同。【參見: 五蘊】
