(一)梵語 sugata。又作修伽度。意譯好去、好說、善逝。如來十號之一。了生死而歸於涅槃，向善處去，故稱善逝、好去。好說法故，故稱好說。〔大智度論卷二、玄應音義卷四〕
(二)梵名 Svāgata。意譯作善來。佛弟子之一。初生之時，容貌可愛，儀表莊嚴，其父見之，大為歡喜，乃言善來善來，因以為名。（參閱「善來」4881）
