(一)梵語 sugata。又作修伽度。意譯好去、好說、善逝。如來十號之一。了生死而歸於涅槃,向善處去,故稱善逝、好去。好說法故,故稱好說。〔大智度論卷二、玄應音義卷四〕
(二)梵名 Svāgata。意譯作善來。佛弟子之一。初生之時,容貌可愛,儀表莊嚴,其父見之,大為歡喜,乃言善來善來,因以為名。(參閱「善來」4881)
