（術語）言菩薩之大悲心代眾生受地獄之苦也。請觀音經曰：「眾生若聞名，離苦得解脫，亦遊戲地獄，大悲代受苦。」智度論四十九曰：「佛自說，本願大心為眾生故，所謂為一一人故於無量劫代受地獄苦，乃至令是人集行功德作佛入無餘涅槃。」
