付法藏第六祖。率有大仙八千，後逢付法藏第五祖提多迦尊者，遂與諸仙共發菩提心，成為提多迦之弟子。得法後，遊化北印度，得婆須蜜付囑大法，入於師子奮迅三昧，身踴虛空，復回本座而自焚化。〔大悲經卷二持正法品、寶林傳卷二、祖堂集卷一、景德傳燈錄卷一〕
