教迹  The traces, or marks of the Buddha's teachings. Verbal teachings. (2) panjiao 判教 or 'teaching classification.'

The vestiges, or evidences of a religion; e.g, the doctrines, institutions, and example of the teachings of Buddha and the saints.

指教法之蹤迹，即聖人布教，各有歸從。又作教跡。據四分律行事鈔資持記卷上一之二載，聖人出現，為物垂範，稱為教迹。又報恩經卷一載，如來教迹，隨宜三藏九部。又判釋教相者，稱為教迹義。據大乘義章卷一所載「眾經教跡義」即是。
