(一)又作法悅。指聽聞佛陀教法，因起信而心生喜悅。舊譯華嚴經卷二（大九‧四○三中）：「佛音能起歡悅心，普令眾生得法喜。」〔讚阿彌陀偈〕
(二)梵名 Dharmanandi。為四世紀時兜佉勒國之僧。音譯曇摩難提。意譯法喜。於苻秦建元年間（365～370）來華，參與譯經事業。（參閱「曇摩難提」6238）
