礙  (1) To obstruct, disturb, hamper, impede, hinder, block off. (Skt. vigha; Tib. bgegs byed pa) (2) An obstruction, an obstacle, a hindrance. Synonymous with 障. In Buddhism, usually an obstruction to awakening caused by attachment to mistaken assumptions regarding the nature of reality.
