等正覺 [py] děngzhèngjué [wg] teng-cheng-chüeh [ko] 등정각 tŭngchŏngkak [ja] トウショウカク tōshōkaku ||| (1) Perfect supreme enlightenment; the level of buddhahood, transcribed into Chinese as 三藐三菩提 (saṃyak-saṃbodhi); also written 正等覺. (2) The perfectly enlightened one; a buddha (saṃyak-saṃbuddha). (3) One of the ten epithets of the Buddha. (4) In the Shin sect, a person who has entered the level of certainty in attaining enlightenment 正定聚.
