續華嚴經略疏刊定記 [py] Xu4 hua2yánjīnglüè shū kān dìng jì [wg] Hsü Huayan ching lüeh shu k'an ting chi [ko] 속화엄경략소간정기 Sok hwaŏmgyŏng yakso kanjŏnggi [ja] ゾクケゴンキョウリャクソカンジョウキ Zoku kegonkyō ryakuso kanjōki ||| Xu Huayan jing lue shou kan ding ji, HTC vol. 5; Z 221, vol. 3. A continuation written by Huiyuan 慧苑 to the commentary on the eighty fascicle Huayan jing 華嚴經 written by Fazang 法藏. Since Fazang died before finishing his work, Huiyuan 慧苑tried to finish it for him. However, since he deviated from some of Fazang's ideas, he was later criticized by Chengguan 澄觀, the fourth patriarch of the Huayan lineage. See Sakamoto Yukio, Kegon kyōgaku no kenkyū, pp. 248-250. This text is commonly known by the abbreviated title of Kan ding ji 刊定記.
凡二十卷,或作十六卷。唐代慧苑撰。即續賢首大師法藏之遺稿,註釋新華嚴經者。略稱華嚴略疏刊定記、華嚴經刊定記、華嚴刊定記、續刊定記、刊定記。收於卍續藏第五冊。總立十門,第一卷敘述教起所因、藏部所攝、顯教差別、簡所被機、能詮教體、所詮宗趣、顯義分齊、部類傳譯、具釋題目等九門;第二卷以下入第十依文正釋門,就經之各品,一一立辨名、來意、宗趣、釋文等四科以解釋其文義。
法藏原於唐證聖元年(695)實叉難陀譯出新華嚴經時,即欲註釋其書,然僅註畢妙嚴、十定等二品,即遽然入寂,慧苑乃繼之完成註釋,然於書中自立四種教,而不用法藏之五教判,又新立兩重十玄門,徒招立義繁多之非難。故古來華嚴家以本書為背師自立之新說,視為異端而不用。其現存版本殘闕不全,六、七兩卷闕,另有數品亦闕註釋,唯存十三卷。註疏有慧苑之別章二卷、法詵之纂釋二十一卷等,然今皆不傳。〔華嚴經隨疏演義鈔卷二、東域傳燈目錄、華嚴宗章疏、釋教諸師製作目錄卷三、華嚴發達
