梵語 a vi ra hūj khaj。悉曇字 。密教胎藏界大日如來之真言,象徵大日如來之內證。全稱唵阿卑羅吽欠莎婆訶。又作阿毘羅吽欠。以聚集此五字之種子,故亦稱為五字明。於密教,此五字又象徵宇宙一切生成要素之地、水、火、風、空等五大,故以此五字配於五大,即阿字配於地大,卑字配於水大,羅字配於火大,吽字配於風大,欠字配於空大。蓋此真言涵攝一切萬象,若行者稱念「唵阿卑羅吽欠莎婆訶」即能成就一切法。此真言之特色乃在始於唵(oj,歸命),而後終於莎婆訶(svāhā,成就);故於密教視之為諸佛之通咒、薩埵之總印。〔大日經卷三悉地出現品、大日經疏卷十一、祕藏記〕p3626
