The river Ajitavatī which runs through Kuśinagara. It was on the western bank of this river in Śāla Forest where Śākyamuni entered into nirvāna. Also written batihe 拔提河 and patihe 跋提河.

Ajiravatī; v. 尸. The river Hiraṇyavatī, also 阿利羅跋提 (or阿夷羅跋提or 阿利羅拔提or 阿夷羅拔提); 阿夷羅婆底 (or 阿脂羅婆底or 阿寅羅婆底); 阿爾多嚩底. It is probable that 阿恃多, intp. 無勝 unconquered, is Ajita and an error. Cf. 阿誓.
