法本 [py] făběn [wg] fa-pen [ko] 법본 pŏppon [ja] ホウボン hōbon ||| "Dharma-source." A term for the Sanskrit sūtra. It is called dharma-source because the transmundane virtuous dharma is the source of the Buddha's verbal teachings.
