Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahāyāna Tradition
An international organization founded in 1975 for the promotion of Mahāyāna teachings. The founders were two Tibetan lamas, Tupten Yeshe and Tupten Zopa Rinpoche, and the FPMT now has over 100 centres all over the world with its headquarters at Kopan monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal.
