Jinakālamālīpakaraṇa
Literally, ‘The Sheaf of Garlands of the Epochs of the Conqueror’. A Pāli Buddhist chronicle compiled by Ratanapañña Thera of Thailand in 1516, with updates by the same author bringing the series up to 1528. The work is a study of the epochs of Buddhism from its origin in India and its spread to Sri Lanka to the establishment of Theravāda Buddhism in south-east Asia. Besides containing abundant information on the religious intercourse between Sri Lanka and south-east Asia, the work contains accounts of several south-east Asian kingdoms. However, it is of particular value as a chronicle of the religious history of Lampoon and Chieng Mai (both in modern Thailand).
