Vīthisammajjaka Thera
An arahant. He once saw the Buddha Sikhī in the street with sixty eight thousand monks, and, after sweeping the road, he set up a flag in honour of the Buddha. Four kappas ago he was a king named Sudhaja (Ap.i.177). He is probably identical with Vacchagotta Thera. ThagA.i.221.
