指中尊與兩脅侍等三尊佛，共負一光背之圖像。其光背，通常採用舟形光之形式，我國北魏時代即有不少此種背光形式之佛像，如長安草堂寺舊藏坐佛三尊像，係東魏興和（539～542）前後所作。
