(名數)謂禪宗也。世尊三處傳心於迦葉:一靈山之拈花微笑,一於多子塔分半座,一於雙林樹下由棺中出足。禪宗象鑑曰:「世尊三處傳心者為禪旨,一代所說者為教門。故曰:禪是佛心,教是佛語。」然說拈花微笑事之大梵天經,其出處不分明,多子塔前分半座雙樹下出足事,諸經雖有其事而如五燈會元所「吾以正法眼藏密付於汝。」曾無之,但如是禪家公案因緣,常底之事,取其意可也。
