謂發願往生淨土之人，臨終時佛菩薩及聖眾等前來接迎。又作來迎引接、聖眾來迎。此係源自阿彌陀佛四十八願中第十九願之思想，其願謂，發菩提心而願生彌陀淨土者，其人壽終時，彌陀必現前迎接。於日本發展出眾多之來迎圖，稱迎接曼陀羅。來迎圖中繪有阿彌陀佛、觀世音菩薩、大勢至菩薩等作來迎之相，稱為來迎三尊。而對將臨終者行來迎之儀式，則稱迎接會、迎講。（參閱「聖眾來迎」5583）
