Women in Buddhism explores topics relevant to female-identified Buddhist practitioners.  The column features profiles of women teachers, book reviews on authors and issues relevant to women’s practice, discussions of scholarly work, and stories of Buddhist women’s monastic and lay experiences.


 

About the author 

 

Caitlin Dwyer is a freelance writer. Her work has appeared in publications such as Narratively, Oregon Humanities, Big Roundtable, Creative Nonfiction, and The Asian Review of Books. She has studied writing at University of Hong Kong, Pacific Lutheran University, and Pomona College. She is learning to maintain a Zen practice while raising a family.
